Menopausal Complaints & Homoeopathy Special Issue
15 May 2008
From
the Desk of Editor - Dr. Pawan S. Chandak
Menopause means permanent cessation of menses at the end of reproductive life
due to loss of ovarian follicular activity.
The clinical diagnosis is confirmed following stoppage of menstruation for
six consecutive months.
Interview with Dr. Jan Scholten
Jan
Scholten is a well known homeopathic doctor and has been promoting homeopathy in
many ways for over 20 years. Jan has founded
Stichting Alonnissos .
The foundation promotes homeopathy by the publication of books, organizing
seminars, promoting research and supporting clinics. Jan Scholten has done much
research and has added many remedies to the homeopathic Materia Medica.
Interviewed by Dr. Pawan S. Chandak
Menopause, or the permanent end of menstruation and
fertility, is a natural biological process, not a medical illness. Even so, the
physical and emotional symptoms of menopause can disrupt your sleep, sap your
energy and — at least indirectly — trigger feelings of sadness and loss.
Cessation of
menstruation at the end of the reproductive life is termed as
menopause. In other words we can say that it is the period when the ability to
bear children and menstruation stops.
Menopause is a very natural
phenomenon occurring in each woman's life. Menopause (meno is month and pausis
is stoppage) actually means stopping of the menstrual cycle.
Sarcoidosis is an
inflammatory disease that affects multiple organs in the body, but mostly the
lungs and lymph glands.
Book Review: Homoeopathy and Minerals by Dr. Jan Scholten
Reviewed by Dr. Pawan S. Chandak
The action of divided dose is much better than undivided dose as
the medicine touches many nerve endings, where as undivided dose touches only
few nerve endings.
In the United States most women experience
menopause in their late 40s or early 50s—about half by age 51. Menopause
before age 35 is called premature menopause and may occur because of
certain diseases, autoimmune reactions (in which the body’s immune
defenses attack the body’s own cells, tissues, or organs), surgery,
medical treatment such as radiation or drug therapies, or for unknown
reasons.
